Plenio Help Center – FAQs & Guides
Welcome to the Plenio Help Center. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to dig deeper, you’ll find all the answers here.
Getting Started
You can sign up with either your email address or by using your LinkedIn account. Just head to plenio.com and click “Sign Up”.
Yes, for security purposes we ask all users to verify their email before accessing the full platform.
If you have signed up initially with LinkedIn, it is possible to create a password within your Plenio profile and later sign-in using your email that is used with your LinkedIn and your new Plenio Password.
If you have signed up initially with your personal email, it is not possible to sign-in at later stage with LinkedIn even though the email address is the same on both platforms. However, you can use your existing LinkedIn profile to sync with Plenio during the onboarding process.
Onboarding & Profile Setup
The onboarding flow helps us better understand you. It includes:
Uploading your CV or syncing LinkedIn to populate your Plenio profile
Setting your Career Preferences based on which Plenio Matching functionality is enabled
Adding and/or reviewing your skills to populate your Plenio profile
Yes, to some extent — however it’s required to enable quality Matches since Match compatibility is based on the fullness of your Plenio profile.
Plenio needs to understand your previous experience, education, skills as well as career preferences in order to provide best possible AI-intelligence created Matches for you.
Plenio fully verified profile → quality Matches.
Plenio partially filled profile → less quality Matches.
On the first step of your onboarding process, simply drag and drop your CV file (pdf, .doc, .docx) into the “Upload your CV“ box.
In case you skip entire Onboarding process, you will be able to upload CV from your Plenio Profile screen.
On the first step of your onboarding process you can choose to connect/sync your LinkedIn which would then pull relevant data like your work history, education and auto-populate your Plenio profile.
Profile & Personalisation
It’s a dynamic score that represents how valuable and attractive your profile is to companies in the Swiss market — based on your skills, experience, and profile completeness.
You need to complete all required fields on your profile (education, experience, skills, etc.).
You need to add data into fields within “Personal information“ section.
Yes! Go to Settings > Change Language to switch between available language options.
To add a new experience, you need to enter both a job title and a company. Make sure you select them from the dropdown list, or if they’re not available, you can create your own by clicking Add “job title” or Add “company name”.
Here’s how to do it:
Click on your profile icon (top-right corner) → select Profile
Go to Experience & Education
Click Add +
Start typing your job title and select it from the dropdown (or click Add “your title” if it’s not listed)
Do the same for the company
Plenio currently includes only larger cities, so smaller towns might not show up yet.
If your city’s missing, just pick the nearest big city or district for now.
And if this really matters for you, let us know through the feedback option — we’d love to improve it!
Matchmaking & Job Discovery
Plenio uses your profile data and career preferences to find ideal matches with open job roles from partnered companies and latest open job positions.
If no matches appear, your minimum compatibility score may be set too high. You can adjust it in two ways:
From Match Preferences
Go to the top-right corner of your screen
Open Match preferences
Find Minimum match compatibility score
Lower the score
From the Matches tab
Open the Matches tab
Click Adjust PlenioScore
Lower the score until matches appear
To get more matches, make sure you’ve:
Added all your languages (including your native ones)
Selected more than one work model
Marked yourself as open to relocation
This way, the system has a broader base to match you with more opportunities. You can update some or all of these settings:
Languages → Go to Profile → open Skills & Languages → scroll to the bottom of the page to add your languages.
Work model → Click on your profile icon (top-right corner) → select Match preferences → go to Workplace → Work model and choose extra options (e.g., if you chose Hybrid, also include On-site and Remote).
Open to relocation → Click on your profile icon (top-right corner) → select Match preferences → go to Workplace → Open to relocate → choose “Yes, I’m open to discuss”
Navigate to the Matches Page, explore each company, and click Accept or Reject.
Accepted matches appear in your Opportunities dashboard, where you can:
• See detailed compatibility breakdowns
• Schedule interviews
• Create and manage documents for applications
Rejected matches are moved to the “Job rejected“ column on the Matches Page as well as on the “Job rejected“ section on the Dashboard Page and can be moved back to the “Job matched“ column if seen as valuable later on.
It’s where you:
Track accepted matches
Analyse detailed breakdown of PlenioScore for each Match
Schedule interviews
Create CV and CL application documents
Apply to accepted Matches by clicking on the link “Apply“ after you have generated necessary Application documents
Plenio periodically checks for expiration of all job posting in Swiss market with goal to automatically move “expired“ or “no longer accepting applications“ jobs to “Archive“.
However, Plenio cannot guarantee that this functionality is providing best results all of the time because Plenio is dependant on the third-party Job boards and frequency of their updates.
Our matching logic uses a combined score (languages, skills, workload, location & work style, expected salary, etc.) rather than filtering jobs only by language level.
This means that even if your language level is lower than required, strong matches in other areas can still raise your overall PlenioScore and make the job appear in your matches.
If you’d prefer not to see these jobs, you can:
Remove or update the language in your profile to lower the match score for those jobs.
Applications & Documents
Yes! For each job match, Plenio can automatically generate:
• CVs tailored to the role
• Cover Letters based on your profile and the job description
You can create them from:
• The Matches screen
• The Dashboard screen
Click “Create Documents” on any match to start.
Absolutely. You can modify both your CV and cover letter directly on the platform before downloading.
You can select the language of your liking in which by default application documents will be generated. You can do this by going to “Profile“ → “Document Settings“ and selecting your preferred language option. Available languages are official Swiss speaking languages “German, French, Italian“ and international “English“.
Alternatively, you can generate application documents and translate them immediately after generating them by using Plenio tooltip modification tools on the right side of your screen.
Our platform generates your CV automatically based on the information you’ve added to your profile, such as education and work experience. If the CV feels too long, you can easily adjust it:
Go to Edit CV → Experience/Education and uncheck the positions you don’t want to include.
Or click Edit (pencil icon) on any position, then in the General description section click on Refine text button. In the modal that opens, you can ask to make the text shorter.
This way, you can keep your CV within the length you prefer (e.g., 1-2 pages)
Plenio is ingesting open job positions in entire Swiss market on daily basis and providing them within Plenio platform. To apply for a certain job position, user will be redirected to original job posting, after which user should apply directly for a job with already generated documents.
Users can use own CV when applying for a job using original job posting. However, it is recommended that candidates use Plenio generated CV and CL.
In the future, Plenio is going to allow users/candidates to apply for a job within Plenio Platform and arrange for an interview. For that feature please follow our
roadmap.plenio.com
